Pair of sixth-place finishes at Tri-City and Merritt

Friday night found Cody Bauer in action at Tri-City Motor Speedway (Auburn, Mich.) kicking off a doubleheader weekend.

Lined up on the third row for the feature via a runner-up heat showing, Bauer rolled to a consistent sixth-place finish in the 30-lap affair.

Marching to the same result in Saturday's stop at Merritt Speedway (Merritt, Mich.), Cody was an early retiree from his heat race but remained focus for the feature. Starting the A-Main in 21st, Bauer charged through the field 15 spots to claim a sixth-place finish in the race's hard charger honors.
