Motor woes end Bauer's Fourth of July weekend early

Cody Bauer kicked off his Fourth a July weekend a little early with a trip to Merritt Speedway (Merritt, Mich.) on Wednesday afternoon to pilot his Forbes Construction & Excavation No. 19x Late Model.

After vaulting forward two positions in his heat race to finish second, Bauer discovered terminal motor issues that forced him to call off the rest of his racing plans for the Independence Day weekend.
